On this Palm Sunday, we commemorate the moment when Jesus made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, hailed by the crowds with palm branches and shouts of “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (John 12:13). It’s a day that marks the beginning of Holy Week, setting the stage for the Passion of Christ and the victory of Easter.
As we hold our palm branches, we are reminded not only of Christ’s kingship but of His profound humility. He came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
Let us reflect on His journey to the cross, and prepare our hearts for the celebration of His resurrection. This is the start of a sacred week—a week of hope, renewal, and reflection.
“They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting, ‘Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel!
“
A beautiful and reverent celebration of Palm Sunday at San Isidro Labrador Chapel, presided by Father Romel Canda, DCS. As we waved our palm branches and reflected on Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, we were reminded of His humility, love, and sacrifice. A truly blessed start to Holy Week, as we prepare our hearts for the journey toward Easter.
