Solemn Investiture of St. Sixtus II

With hearts full of reverence and hope, the members of the St. Sixtus II Class received their cassocks in a sacred rite that affirmed their readiness to embrace the responsibilities of seminary life more fully. Surrounded by their formators, families, and fellow seminarians, the occasion served as both a celebration and a solemn reminder of their call to be shepherds formed in the image of Christ. The event was not only a milestone but also a powerful witness to the enduring mission of the Church in nurturing future servants of the Gospel.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.”

– Psalm 23:1-4

The Solemn Investiture of the St. Sixtus II Class was a momentous and deeply spiritual occasion for the Maradjao Magbalantay College Seminary. Marking a significant step in the formation journey of the seminarians, the ceremony symbolized their commitment to a life of service, faith, and pastoral dedication.

Worthwhile moments shared by seminarians and their parents during the Tribute Program of this year’s Parents’ Day 2025 held at the Maradjao Magbalantay College Seminary last March 1-2, 2025.

Acknowledging the noble role of parents to their sons’ vocation, the activity highlights the celebration of love and thanksgiving for the grace of vocation God has sown in their families.
